Fresh Eggs!

Big news from the chicken coop! Mable laid two eggs over the weekend. Hens have to be around six or seven months old to lay there eggs so we had our first farm fresh eggs for breakfast yesterday. Hopefully Brownie and Fordie will follow in her footsteps and we will have more eggs soon.

On another note, I thought you would enjoy a dessert I recently tested. You really can’t go wrong with Chocolate Cream Pie and after seeing the movie Julia and Julie I developed a craving for this luscious dessert. I lightened the recipe just slightly, but the results are a rich, creamy and delicious pie that you will enjoy this fall for sure!
