This recipe from The Blackberry Farm Cookbook uses cane syrup to sweeten this Thanksgiving side. If your local country store does not have cane syrup, you can order it online at Striplings General Store – www.striplings.com.
FIRST In a medium saucepan, stir together the cranberries, cherries, cane syrup, zest, juice, wine and ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat an cook, stirring frequently, for about 10 minutes, until some of the cranberries pop and the mixture thickens.
LAST Serve warm or at room temperature.
